VERBATIM

Verbatim transcription ensures that no detail is overlooked, and the original spoken content is accurately preserved for legal purposes.  Verbatim is transcribed word-for-word and includes all false starts, repetitions and filler words with light editing of ‘ums’ and ‘ahs’ and interviewer listening responses such as ‘uh-huh’, ‘okay’ and ‘I see’.

Court Proceedings: Verbatim legal transcription is often essential during court hearings, where every word spoken by judges, barristers, witnesses and other participants is meticulously transcribed. This ensures an accurate record of the legal proceedings for future reference, appeals or case documentation but also creates a concise record by omitting ‘ums’ and ‘ahs’ and other similar utterances.

Client Meetings: Legal professionals often request verbatim transcription services during meetings with clients to maintain a comprehensive record of discussions, agreements and legal advice. This serves as a reference point for both the legal professional and the client and can be valuable in legal disputes or contract negotiations.

STRICT VERBATIM

Strict verbatim transcription is where every spoken word, pause and inflection is captured and transcribed.  This level of detail ensures that no critical information or nuance is lost, providing legal professionals with an invaluable resource for case analysis, reference and documentation.
